Famous Movie Heroes Watches
Many real-world criminals like to wear expensive accessories. So it’s no surprise that, in films, the watches of major villains often play an important role in the development of the plot.
“Casino”
One of the main characters in this film, played by Robert De Niro, gets fabulously rich through criminal activity. He spends the money he gets this way buying jewellery for his girlfriend (played by Sharon Stone), a lover of diamonds and gold jewellery. These accessories constantly appear in frames of the film. Martin Scorsese, the director of Casino, deliberately highlights the girl’s desire for jewellery. In one scene, Sharon Stone’s character lies on a bed on which rings, chains and expensive Serpenti watches are scattered. In other shots, a chronograph by the Roman house of Bvlgari can be spotted.
«The Legend»
In this film about the gangster careers of the two Kray twin brothers (both played by Tom Hardy), luxury items regularly appear in the frame. One frequent piece of jewellery was a vintage Omega brand flat watch with a diamond-studded bezel and a Milanese weave bracelet.
«The Thomas Crown Affair»
A film about a charming thief who specialised in robbing museums, played by Pierce Brosnan, could not do without expensive objects. The film’s protagonist wears a Reverso quadrangular rotating watch. The Swiss company Jaeger-LeCoultre created this accessory. The official version of the film is that the director of The Thomas Crown Affair is himself a fan of the brand’s watches.

The film, telling about a dramatic struggle of African mafia, specializing in illegal diamond mining, tells the story of Leonardo DiCaprio’s hero, who is not an example of a law-abiding citizen.
In addition to the life twists and turns in which the protagonist finds himself, the watch worn by this smuggler is of interest to attentive viewers. DiCaprio’s character wore a massive Breitling Super Avenger chronograph Ⅱ.

In this film, also directed by Martin Scorsese, luxury items are constantly on show. Watches also play an important part in the film. DiCaprio, the protagonist, wears a TAG Heuer Series 100 sports chronograph while his assistant, played by Jonah Hill, wears a Rolex Daytona.
